This is a great CD release by the talented multi-Grammy winner (11 in various categories Be'la Fleck & The Flecktones, their first album in 20 years, titled 'Rocket Science'. Be'la Fleck & The Flecktones have many influences in this great CD (12 tracks) including classical, jazz, African & Eastern European folk dances resulting in the bluesy sound on this CD. Stand-outs/gems/solid tracks include "Joyful Spring" (a beautiful banjo/guitar combination, very melodical), "Falani" (great drums/piano combination starting slowly building to a very melodical accordion infused bluesy track) & "Bottle Rocket" (up-tempo banjo inspired track with great harmonica). Great tracks include "Gravity Lane" (up-tempo track with great melody), "Prickly Pear" (great bass/rhythm guitars combination), "Life In Eleven" (great banjo/saxophone/bass combination), "Falling Forward" (a slow/laid-back blues track), "Storm Warning" (quite melodical), "Like Water" (great banjo notes pick-ups & bass background & a wonderful saxophone), "Earthling Parade" (similar to common movie score sound), "The Secret Drawer" (great drums with birds sound in the background) & "Sweet Pomegranates". On overall, this is a great CD release 'Rocket Science' by Be'la Fleck & The Flecktones, worth the wait, a highly recommended CD listening.
