Ladies and Gentlemen, here is the mother of all „pictures“ recordings. At today, no other „pictures“ production was able to beat Maestro Reiner and his Chicago Symphony Orchestra: good speed, real dramatical atmosphere, perfect tempo and a magnificent sound.
After 53 (!) years there is nothing new under the sun, the masters of recording productions from the golden age – 50s and 60s – knew how to do it:
