If the name Mary Robbins rings a bell (El Paso) you'll enjoy this collection of mostly original Western style Ballads from beginning to end. The CD contains only two cover songs, the first where music is set to the late Allen Ginsberg's poem entitled "Western Ballad" and the other is called "Little Stream of Whiskey". The CD has depth from beginning to end. The first song, "Memory of a Ghost", contains pleasant harmonies similiar to Mark Knopfler's and Emmy Lou Harris', "That is Us",on All the Road Running. Anyway, my fav's are High, When I am Called, True Possession, Tristesse Oubilee, Thunderhead, Toast and Little Stream of Whiskey. The songwriting and music is excellent.
